In Step Adventures acknowledges that we carry out our work, play and creation stewardship on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples. This territory was covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” and signed by these first nations in 1726. The Treaties recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

Therefore, we pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land, honouring their knowledge and endeavouring to learn from their wisdom regarding its ongoing stewardship and protection for future generations.
